Date: 29th December 2016
Venue: Western House Hotel, Ayr
Second last wedding of the year and I turned up on a beautiful, dry day to the Western House Hotel in Ayr for the wedding of Lorna and Gordon. I met Gordon, who was a bit nervous, and his best man Chris. Both were rocking these awesome burnt orange suits – such a refresh from the kilt. I caught up with them at the entrance of the hotel.
Lorna looked stunning as she walked down the stairs with her proud Dad, Iain.
The bridesmaids all looking lovely in green.
They has a beautiful humanist ceremony performed by Gerrie Douglas-Scott. I love how she went into detail about how they met and what they like about each other, it give the ceremony a very personal touch.
We took advantage of the good weather and headed outside for a big group photo.
Guests mingled as the rest of the group photos were taking place.
We then done a walk around the lovely gardens at the Western House Hotel.
We managed to time it just right as the sun was setting.
I loved all the little details about their day.
Lorna and Gordon made their grand entrance and we got straight on to the speeches.
Afterwards I came back for the first dance.
The guests then piled onto the dance floor, looks like they were up for having a good time.
Finally to finish off the night we headed out to the bandstand which was lit up with fairy lights.
Thank you so much to Lorna & Gordon for having me, it was a beautiful Western House Hotel Wedding.
