Date: 4th of August 2018
Venue: Shieldhill Castle, Biggar
Maria and Sean chose to get married far out in the countryside at the stunning Shieldhill Castle near Biggar. I always love coming to this venue, its so full on character and easy to take beautiful photos. Maria and Sean both stayed the night before to make things alot easier for getting ready in the morning. I joined Maria as she was getting ready with her bridesmaids.
I loved the colour theme for the day.
I met Sean and the boys in the gardens later on.
Maria looked stunning in her dress and had her bridesmaids on hand to help.
Maria and her two little girls, I love this photo!
Maria looked breathtaking as she swept down the aisle towards Sean. They decided on a humanist ceremony in the aim to make their vows more personal. The ceremony was conducted by the fabulous Peter MacDonald.
Outside we lined all the guests up for a group photo and then had some fun with the confetti cannons.
Sean and Maria took some time out for photos around the grounds.
I loved the decor and that they used photos of their little girls as table numbers.
I always make it an aim to get a nice family photo if the bride and groom have young kids.
After a bit of dancing with the guests I stole Sean and Maria for one last shoot. I spotted a field a little down the road so we drove to it for a last walk in the sunset.
Thank you so much to Maria and Sean for having me and putting in that extra effort for sunset photos. It was a beautiful Shieldhill Castle Wedding.
