Date: 19th of June 2015
Venue: Shieldhill Castle, Biggar
I was pretty excited about photographing a Shieldhill Castle Wedding with the lovely Lynsey and Ronson. Before the wedding I popped over to the Castle to have a look around, Shieldhill Castle is stunning and is set on beautiful grounds so lots of photo opportunities. Lynsey and Ronson were the kind of couple who were all about the photos. They wanted lots of photos and I was more than happy to oblige.
I started my day off by meeting Lynsey and her family at her mums house in Glasgow. Everything was running smoothly and everyone was pretty excited about the day ahead. I photographed all the little details so dresses, shoes, flowers etc.
Lynsey helped into her dress by her Mum.I also had Mairi from Mairi Claire Photography help me out as my second shooter for the day. She started her day at Shieldhill Castle with the boys as they got ready.
Ronson was looking handsome in his kilt.
They held their ceremony in a beautiful church in Biggar, just 10 minutes away from the castle. It was a very emotional ceremony for the bride and groom. Lynsey looked stunning as her dad walked her down the aisle.
Lynsey, Ronson and their son Jayden.
A vintage car took them from the church to the castle.
Luckily it was dry so we managed to do group photos outside. It was very cold, so thanks to everyone who stayed outside with us. Luckily I had Mairi to help me round people up, making the process much quicker.
After group photos we took the couple around the castle for some natural photos of just the two of them.
Lynsey looking absolutely stunning in her dress.
We caught up with Jayden in between his playing time.
A long veil always makes for a good photo.

We heard some very funny stories at the speeches but mostly it was all love and devotion from friends to the happy couple.
After dinner we stole them away for another 5 minutes or so to get some more photos. The light completely changes in the evening so I like to get a bit of variety for the couple.
Their first dance was very personal. It was a copy of a song sung by Lynsey’s Granddad who sadly is no longer with them. It was beautiful. Lynsey’s Mum got up and sang for their second dance. She had an amazing voice!
Once the party had started, Mairi set up the photobooth for all the guests whilst I continued to photograph everyone having fun on the dancefloor. It was an amazing day. Thanks to Mairi for helping me out, Thanks to Lynsey & Ronson for wanting and letting us do lots of photography. I wish them both and Jayden all the best for the future!
