Date: 10th March 2017
I was very excited to be back in historic Edinburgh for Ricky & Steph’s wedding. They had chosen the beautiful Principal Hotel for their occasion, a traditional, yet stylish location. I arrived in the morning and join Steph and the rest of the ladies as they were getting ready.
Stephs dress was beautiful and had a vintage feel to it.
Ricky arrived shortly after looking handsome in his kilt. He was backed up on the day by his two bestmen Blair & Ross.
The stunning ceremony room.
Steph looked amazing and was walked down the aisle by her Dad, John. Steph and Ricky chose to have a humanist ceremony preformed by Tim Maguire.
Afterwards we took the bridal party and families outside for group photos.
We then took a short taxi down to Queen St. Gardens for some photos of just the bride and groom. We were really lucky with the weather and we had a bit of that late afternoon sun shining on us.
All the colour choices complimented each other.
It was nice to get some city shots too. Edinburgh is so beautiful and characteristic.
In traditional Scottish fashion the bride and groom were piped into dinner and we then went into the speeches.
Nothing like a little shot after dinner for a job well done.
I captured Ricky & Steph’s first dance together and left them to party the night away with their friends and family. I can’t thank them enough for having me as their photographer, it was a beautiful day and I wish them all the best for the future. A gorgeous Principal Hotel Wedding.
