Date: 18th May 2019 // Venue: Oran Mor, Glasgow
After a crazy awesome engagement session with Steven and Lisa, I was excited to work with them again. Instead of being out in the wilderness surrounded by fog, this time we were in Glasgows West End at the beautiful Oran Mor, a converted church with beautiful stained glass windows and painted walls and ceilings.
I met Lisa first as she was getting ready across the road in a hotel.
Mum, Jayne and Bridesmaids, Abby and Billie were on hand to help her get ready.
Dad, John got a bit teary eyed when he saw Lisa in her dress for the first time.
No need for a taxi today, Lisa and her bridesmaids just crossed Byres Rd in heels and with all the Saturday shoppers.
Steven was waiting nervously at the bottom of the aisle for his bride.
They opted for a humanist ceremony performed by Peter MacDonald. Humanism is much more personal to the couple and it was enjoyable to hear about how they met.
After the ceremony we headed across to the botanical gardens for photos. I loved the tropical background. We also made use of the park and the spiral staircase leading up into the church.
I loved the details chosen and Lisa and Steven made sure everyone got a scratch card as they sat down, the big winners must of been keeping quiet.
Speeches were given by Lisas Dad, Steven and his best man and brother, Colin, who made sure to get a few digs in.
After dinner we wandered down Glasgows Byres Rd and took advantage of the cobbled streets and alleyways. Glasgow has so much character.
We went straight into cake cutting and first dance before the guests all joined them on the floor to party the night away. Steven and Lisa are such a beautiful couple and I thank them for letting me share their special day. It was a gorgeous Oran Mor Wedding.
