Date: 28th May 2017
Venue: Lochnell Castle, Oban
I got to spend a sunny Sunday in the beautiful West Coast of Scotland at Lochnell Castle near Oban. Katie, Ian and their families all travelled up from England for their special day. Lochnell Castle is on a private estate, so special, they only do 5 weddings a year.
I was greeted by a wedding sign and a gorgeous drive down a long straight road.
The chapel at the back of the castle is perfect for weddings.
The boys looked smart in their suits.
Guests walked up to the castle in the sun
Katie and her Dad arrived in a vintage car
Katie & Ian were married by her Uncle in the chapel.
After the ceremony we took a walk through the beautiful gardens and orchard.
A quiet moment by the lake.
We also took a walk in a nearby field
The decor was very simple and stylish, the cake was from the Oban Chocolate Company.
Guests spent most of the day outside enjoying the sun and the view.
We had some great speeches from Katie’s Dad, Bob – Groom, Ian and best man, Steve.
After dinner we headed to Lochnell Castle’s own private beach where Katie and Ian took a quiet stroll.
We had some stunning views.
Then it was on to the first dance and Ceilidh. Guests enjoyed learning some traditional Scottish dances.
It really was an amazing Lochnell Castle Wedding. Thank you to both Katie and Ian for having me as their photographer. I wish them all the best for the future.
