Date: 10th of October 2015
Venue: Keavil House, Fife
Mairi first got in touch with me a few years ago. She is also a wedding photographer but wanted me to photograph her wedding! I was so honoured to be asked not to mention terrified at the thought of having another off-duty wedding photographer watching me all day. As soon as I met Mairi for coffee though all my fears melted away. She is honestly one of the nicest and bubbliest people I have ever met. We get on so well and have so much in common we think that we were separated at birth. Anyway enough about Me and Mairi – lets talk about Mairi and Sean!
Mairi and Sean are such a fun couple and work really well together. We had a test shoot a few weeks before the wedding and they were so good to photograph. I couldn’t wait to get started on their special day.
I met Mairi at her parents house in Glenrothes where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and flowergirls.
Everyone was so relaxed and having fun.
The beautiful flowers were designed by Poppy Floral Design.
Mairi made most of the details herself, including her gorgeous headband.
All the girls helped with the finishing touches.
Over at Keavil House the boys were ready to go. Sean was looking very smart in his kilt and so was his son, Evan.
Seans children, Evan and Caitlin walked down the aisle with Mairi’s super cute niece, Lauren.
Mairi and Sean opted for a humanist wedding as it was more personal to them. There were a lot of funny moments throughout the ceremony.
Mairi and her beautiful bridesmaids.
Sean and the boys.
A beautiful cake by Scottish Perfections.
I loved the scrabble tiles and the whole vintage/rustic theme that Mairi created.
Mr & Mrs Simpson
The beautiful gardens at Keavil House.
Speeches were so funny. Here’s Mairi getting embarrassed by her Dad and Sean getting a reward chart from his brother, Bruce.
We managed another quick few photos after dinner before the light disappeared.
Giant ‘LOVE’ letters, a must at every wedding.
Mairi and Sean had a beautiful first dance in front of all their guests.
The party was in full swing straight after, Mairi looked like she was having the best time!
A beautiful table of cakes and sweets was there for their evening buffet. Most of cakes were made by grannies and aunties.
I had an absolutely fabulous day with these two and I can’t thank them enough for having me as their photographer. It was a beautiful Keavil House Wedding. Mairi and I will definitely be staying friends for a long time!
