A Kames Castle Wedding with Lynley & Callum

nothing is impossible

By Jacqui Paterson In Weddings

Date: 29th of July 2017

Venue: Kames Castle, Isle of Bute

Not many people can organise a wedding for 100+ guests, with a marquee venue, half of the family flying over from New Zealand and be 38 weeks pregnant… but Lynley certainly can! Not to mention Ive never seen a more chilled out bride, she knew exactly how to keep calm through all the commotion and decided to just take the day as it came. I have a lot of admiration for her!

I joined Lynley at a cottage in Kames Castle where she was getting ready with her maids.

Callum arrived in the marquee where best man Robert helped sort out the final details.

The flower girls were looking lovely and excited to start the day.

In typical Scottish fashion, it rained. The outdoor ceremony they had planned had to be moved inside.

They had a lovely ceremony conducted by Sandra Blair Cobain and even had their dog feature in they wedding ceremony.

All the beautiful details arranged by Lynley.

By the time we came to group photos, the sun was shining.

Kames Castle has a spectacular walled garden and greenhouse which we took full advantage of. As a local, I have lived next to Kames Castle for most of my life and never been allowed inside so it was finally nice to uncover the mystery.

Delighted to finally be husband and wife.

Guests had a great time socialising in the garden.

We headed into the Marquee for speeches.

In the evening I took them both for a walk around the woods.

Finally it was time to cut the cake and get the party started.

Thank you so much to Lynley and Callum for having me as their photographer. It was a beautiful Kames Castle Wedding made even more special by being a local myself. I wish them both all the best.
