Date: 3-5 May 2016
Venue: Seljalandfoss, Iceland
I was so excited to go to Iceland for my 3rd time for the possible wedding workshop held at the Harpa conference centre in Reykjavik. I got to work with the amazing Ed Peers, Gabe McClintock and Jesh de Rox as well as meeting so many other photographers from around the world. It also gave me the opportunity to spend more than 5 minutes in Reykjavik as I always seem to be speeding out into the countryside for a wedding or an elopement…which is not a bad thing…
Towards the end of day 2 we travelled out to Seljalandsfoss to put our new techniques into practice with 3 lovely couples.
As a wedding photographer I think its really important to keep your work and technique updated.
Below is storytelling in the style of Ed Peers.
A more hands on approach in the style of Gabe McClintock.
This couple just worked amazingly well.
I’m not sure why I love doing Iceland Elopements – its definitely one of my favourite countries to work in, there is just something about the light and the weather here that makes this place magical. Not to mention the amazing landscapes. I really hope to be back soon shooting some more elopements or destination weddings. Please have a look at my Iceland Wedding Photography page or read about a recent elopement I shot there last year.
