autumn is here

By Jacqui Paterson In Weddings

Date: 17th of October 2015

Venue: Sacred Heart Church followed by Hotel Colessio, Stirling

Rachel and Michael are such a lovely couple. I did their engagement shoot a few months before their wedding so they could have a practice. They were both great fun and natural in front of the camera so I was looking forward to their wedding day. We were lucky with the weather the sun was shining on this beautiful autumn day.

I went to meet Rachel and her bridesmaids in a local hotel where they were getting ready.

All the girls were excited and the bubbly was flowing. I absolutely loved these personalised glasses above.

Rachel looked stunning in her dress it really suited her.

Rachel and her Dad arrived at the church with time to spare.

I loved the look on Michaels face as soon as he knew his future wife was coming.

The Ceremony was in Sacred Heart Church in Grangemouth. The church was so beautiful inside and they had a lovely ceremony.

No wedding day would be complete without a visit from their dog.

After the ceremony we went over the road into the park for group photos.hotel_colessio_stirling_wedding_0010

and Michael with his Best Man and Ushers.

As Autumn was in full swing, the colours in the trees were amazing golden tones so we made sure to capture this in their photos.

Just before we left the park we got one last photo with the church.

The Hotel Colessio is a fairly new venue and looks fantastic inside. Not to mention its ideal location, right in Stirling town centre. The venue did a fabulous job with the decor. The beautiful cake was by Ca’s Buttercream Dream.

Rachel and Michael got to catch up with some of their guests before dinner was served.

The boys all did a really great job with the speeches. Lots of funny stories were told. Its one of my favourite parts of the day.hotel_colessio_stirling_wedding_0021

After dinner we headed up to Stirling Castle for some night effect photos.

We headed back for the first dance and for the guests to let loose on the dancefloor.

I love this natural moment of them together.

Just before I left I got Rachel and Michael to come out for one last photo with the hotel in the background. I love the architecture and how the buildings lit so it was an opportunity not to be missed.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Rachel and Michael all the best for the future! There wedding was so much fun and I had a really great time capturing all their memories.
