Date: 8th October 2016
I was excited to be back up in beautiful Aberfoyle for Jess & Gordon’s Forest Hills Hotel Wedding. Last time I was here (2 weeks previous) it was the heaviest rain and flooded roads but this day couldn’t be more different with the sun splitting the sky. Jess had already been emailling me all her ideas and personal touches so I couldn’t wait to get started. I met the girls at the hotel as they were getting ready.
The boys were also early and eager to go, so I grabbed a couple of photos with them. Gordon was looking handsome in his kilt.
We had loads of time in the morning so it was all very relaxed.
Jess looked stunning in her gown.
They had a beautiful ceremony performed by Patricia Johnstone in the conservatory.
Men in Kilts.
We took a quiet walk around the stunning gardens. Autumn was in full bloom so the colours were so pretty.
A beautiful cake made by Brenda Brownlee.
I was loving the table decorations and giant letters.
Soaking up the last of the summer weather, all the guests were outside.
We headed in for speeches from Father of the Bride – Jim, the man himself – Gordon and best man, Finlay.
We also took a quiet walk after dinner to the waterfall which was all lit up.
And then it was onto the first dance.
These guests really knew how to party and were up on the dance floor for most of the night.
Jess made sure everyone got a sho
And we finished the night off with some sparklers and we got the giant letters outside too!!! Thanks for an amazing day guys!
