An Eskmills Wedding with Sarah & Andy

bringing friends and family together

By Jacqui Paterson In Weddings

Date: 14th November 2015

Venue: Eskmills, Musselburgh

On a mild and dry November afternoon, Sarah and Andy brought their friends and family together for their Eskmills Wedding. Technically it was more of a day of celebration as they eloped to Mauritius a few weeks before and got married on a beach! Lucky people.

Sarah & Andy brought their day to life with lots of handmade treats and vintage details with a hint of Scottish tartan. It was a fabulous layout.

Instead of a ceremony Sarah and Andy spent the afternoon going round all their guests and catching up with everyone. It was a very relaxed atmosphere.

We used the opportunity to get group photos with their families.    edinburgh_wedding_photography_0101

Later on we headed outside to the grounds around Eskmills to get a few photos of the happy couple together.

Not a couple to stick to tradition, for their evening meal they served fajitas. Instead of having a top table they kept empty seats at each table so they could mingle with their guests.

Later on in the evening guests played with games that were set up around the room. Giant Jenga was a big hit!

The Ceilidh band started up and all the guests poured onto the dance floor to learn some traditional Scottish dancing. Everyone looked like they had an amazing time.

Just before I left, I nipped out for one last shot in the rain with Sarah & Andy. They sheltered under the umbrella as this beautiful shot was taken.

Thank you so much to both for letting me capture their special occasion. I wish them all the best for the future.
