Louise & Jean-Marc’s Enterkine House Wedding

the perfect day

By Jacqui Paterson In Weddings

Date: 21st of August 2015

Venue: Enterkine House, Ayr

Due to work schedules etc. I only met Louise and Jean-Marc a few weeks before their Enterkine House Wedding. They are both such a joy to be around and were very happy and relaxed about the whole day. I could tell great things were going to come from this wedding and I was right.

I went to meet Louise and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready at her Mums house. I straight away started to photograph all the little things.

Make up was done by Laura Dawson and hair by Gillian Cleminson.

Louise’s Mum, Lorraine, was an amazing help on the day making sure everything was running smoothly and keeping everyone calm. Louise’s dress from Opus in West Kilbride was stunning and suited her perfectly.

We had time to photograph Louise on the staircase, something her Mum wanted to do ever since she was a little girl.

I headed off to meet Jean-Marc at St. Brides Church just up the road. Jean-Marc is french so he and all his friends were excited about wearing kilts.

Jean-Marc and his brother/best man Patrick.

I loved the expression on Jean-Marc’s face when he knew Louise had arrived.

Their Catholic ceremony was conducted by Father Joe, friend to Louise’s family.

As we drove from the church to the beach the sun suddenly came out. It was amazing! We were so lucky with the weather and to get these beautiful beach shots.

After the beach we headed to Enterkine House for the reception.

They were lucky enough to have two cakes – one made of cheese and another cake made by Lorriane, Louise’s Mum, a woman of many talents.

Enterkine House has a beautiful marquee at the back for the wedding breakfast. They did a fantastic job of decorating with Louise and Jean-Marc’s travel theme.

Speeches were done between courses and got alot of laughs. Louise’s brothers shared stories of their childhood and paid tribute to her Father.

Jean-Marc impressed everyone with his language skills and gushed about his new wife, Louise. Patrick spoke of his happiness for the newlyweds.

After dinner and as the sun was setting, I took the happy couple back outside for a few more photos.

The kids (and big kids) played games outside.

Everyone gathered around for the first dance. They both did an amazing job and I loved how the dress flowed.

Guests then poured onto the dancefloor to dance the night away. Groove Culture were a fantastic band and had them up dancing all night.

I had such great fun at this wedding and the weather helped seal the deal. Thank you to Louise, Jean-Marc and all their friends and family for making my job so easy. I wish them all the happiness!
