birds and rings

Date: 8th of July 2017

Venue: Dalmahoy, Edinburgh

Finally the day had arrived for Louisa & Garys wedding. I was excited about all their plans and couldn’t wait to put them into action. The Dalmahoy is a stunning venue so we were looking forward to getting out and about in the golf cart for some fun photos. Louisa was at the Hotel getting ready with her family and bridesmaids.

I love that the bride had chosen converse as her wedding shoes. No sore feet here!

One of the many suprises in store was an owl flying down the aisle with the rings… what could go wrong?

Louisa looked stunning in her dress.

Louisa was walked down the aisle by her Dad, David. A very excited groom was waiting at the end.

They chose a beautiful humanist ceremony performed by Gerrie Douglas-Scott. Finally it was time for the owl to fly down the aisle. Obviously he never landed where he was supposed to and ended up on someones head. Everyone was highly entertained and Im sure we will all remember it for years to come!

The bridal party.

The Dalmahoy Hotel is a stunning building and makes it easy for photos.

We jumped in the golf cart and headed down to the woods to shelter from the sun.

The cheeky owl in question.

Some of the stunning decor created by Louisa and Gary. A beautiful cake provided by 3D cakes.

We had some great speeches from Brides Dad, David – Groom, Gary and Best Man, Callum.

After we cut the cake and took to the floor for the first dance. Louisa and Gary were keen to head out for some evening shots. Something I like to encourage all my Brides and Grooms to do.

We came back to a massive party and some ceilidh dancing. All the guests we up and having a great time.

Thanks to Gary and Louisa for having me as their photographer.I had a great day and it was a beautiful Dalmahoy Wedding. Congratulations!
