Venue: Dalhouse Castle, Edinburgh // Date: 15th Dec 2018
I was excited to return to the stunning Dalhousie Castle in Edinburgh, such a beautiful venue. Sarah and Adam travelled up from England with all the guests to tie the knot here. In true typical Scottish style, the weather was crazy with the wind and rain battering against the windows. We hoped it would clear up for later on…
The boys were looking handsome in their suits and Sarah looked stunning in her dress. I loved the shot of her walking down the stairs to the ceremony room.
Adam waited patiently at the bottom of the aisle for his bride to arrive….
Adam and Sarah chose a simple civil ceremony with one big suprise in the middle….an owl delivering the rings. Luckily it went off without any hiccups and the rings were delivered safely.
We still had bad weather but Sarah and Adam were brave enough to go outside for a couple of minutes.
They had some simple but beautiful decor to compliment their day.
In Scottish tradition, they were piped in to cut the cake followed by speeches from Father of the Bride, Groom and Best Man.
After dinner we were supposed to go outside for sparklers but it started snowing! So we made the best of the weather and took a stunning shot with a backlight.
Afterwards we headed back into the warmth for first dance. The guests then joined the bride and groom on the dance floor to party the night away. Thank you to Sarah and Adam for having me, it was a beautiful Dalhousie Castle Wedding.
