Date: 11th of October 2014
Venue: Crieff Hydro Hotel
The Crieff Hydro Hotel is a resort that had survived through many years as Hydros in Scotland were spa’s and getaways but most were shut down when cheap package holidays were introduced. The building itself is very 50’s. I felt like I was walking onto the set of Dirty Dancing – I loved it! Kelly got ready in one of the hotel rooms so I met up with her and her bridesmaids there. There was a buzz and excitement about the day. Luckily the weather was dry too so a great opportunity for photos outside.
We walked around to the ceremony room. It was huge! an amazing space to get married in and plenty of room for me to move around without disturbing anyone 🙂 The Wedding was a humanist ceremony conducted by the lovely Mary Wallace. She has done two of my friends weddings – Mary is fabulous!
After the ceremony I got everyone down to the garden area for group photos, the sun came out at this point! Then it was just me and the couple and we walked around to the gardens for photos.
The stunning architecture at Crieff Hydro Hotel.
We headed up to the woods for photos.
There was some lovely colours on the trees since it was Autumn.
The room getting set up for dinner.
Father of the Bride and Mike giving speeches.
I can back to photograph the first dance and set up the photo booth. Everyone was having a great time, the music was rock themed – my fav!
To end the night we went out to do the sparkler shots on the bowling green, a perfect day for a Crieff Hydro Wedding. Would love to photograph this venue again soon.
