Venue: Rothesay Castle, Bute

September in Scotland, you are never sure what the weather is going to be like, so I was so happy when the sun was shining on Bute for Gill and Phil’s Rothesay Castle Wedding. Gill is from the island and thought it the perfect place to be married. She got ready at her parents house at Kilchattan bay. I photographed her as she was getting her hair/make up done, then the flowers, shoes and dress.

Once everyone ready we headed to the pier in the local village for photos of all the girls together. I love this stunning natural shot of Gill sitting on her wedding car.

Phil waiting at Rothesay Castle looking smart in his kilt.

As we arrived at Rothesay Castle – Gill’s brother piped her in to the ceremony.

The couple were both so nervous but laughed all the way through the ceremony, it was lovely. After we took photos in the courtyard before heading up to the clubhouse in the park.

Gill and Phil headed from the Castle to catch the bus up to the clubhouse.

The couple had transformed it into a nature theme. The cake stand was a carved out log! it looked amazing.

I left them for dinner but came back in the evening as the sun was setting. We went for a walk in the park and I got some nice, natural photos of the couple together.

This was definitely one of my favourite weddings of the year. Such a beautiful day!
