Venue: Balbirnie House, Fife
Date: 19th of March 2016
So I was pretty excited about this wedding for several reasons. I had taken a winter break from work and this was my first wedding back, having already done and engagement shoot with Jennifer and Donald I knew that they would be ace in front of the camera and we were shooting at the beautiful Balbirnie House – one of my favourite venues.
I turned up in the morning to be greeted by beautiful sunshine and after all the bad weather we had been having it was refreshing.
I headed up to the bridal suite where Jennifer was getting ready with her bridesmaids.
All was very calm in the morning.
Jennifers flowergirl Jasmine was adorable.
Last minute checks before we headed downstairs.
Flowers were provided by Oor Fleurs of Auchtermuchy.
Donald and his bestman Matthew looking handsome in their kilts.
Jennifer looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her Dad.
They had a beautiful and fun ceremony conducted by Richard.
The wedding party.
In the afternoon we went for a walk around the Balbirnie grounds. Nothing could beat the sun streaming through the trees.
We couldn’t be in Balbirnie without having a photo on their grand staircase.
I loved the lemon colour picked to decorate their wedding breakfast and the amazing cake made by Donalds Mum.
Speeches followed and we heard some great stories about both the bride and the groom.
Entertainment was provided by Callanish. They had all the guests up dancing for most of the night.
Finally we stepped outside to capture a night shot in front of the amazing entrance to Balbirnie.
Thank you so much to Jennifer and Donald for having me as their photographer. They had a great Balbirnie House Wedding. The fabulous people who helped make the day complete are listed below.
