Date: 30th April 2016
Venue: Atholl Palace, Pitlochry
I left early in the morning to head up to Pitlochry. Once you get off the motorway its one of those stunning drives through the Scottish landscape. Then I came to the hotel itself…palace indeed! What an amazing building to get married in. It had a very traditional Scottish feel to it and I could tell that it was gonna be a great day for Louise and Stewart. I headed over to Louise’s room as she got ready.
I think I fell in love with Louise’s choice of shoes.
All the girls were totally calm throughout the morning as they were getting ready.
Louise looked stunning in her dress.
Stewart was a bit nervous but was looking handsome.
They had a lovely ceremony with lots of giggles throughout.
The bridal party.
As we were doing group photos outside, the heaviest ran shower came on. Luckily we were under a canopy so it didn’t affect us too much. Once group photos were finished the sun was out and we headed out to the grounds for photos.
A beautiful couple.
Atholl Palace done an amazing job setting up the room and details.
Once photos were finished, there was still time to head to the bar.
After they were called into dinner we went straight into speeches. Starting with Steve, Louise’s proud Dad.
The boys done a good job with theres too. Stewart kept his short and best man Gordon stole the show with his funny stories.
Boys being boys after dinner….
If the sun is still shining after dinner, I like to grab the bride and groom for a quick photo op. I find the light is a lot softer this time of night – as we photographers call it ‘the golden hour’.
We headed back indoors for the first dance and some great entertainment provided by Splendid Gentlemen, one of my favourite wedding bands.
Everybody was up for a party and ready to dance the night away.
Thank you so much to Louise and Stewart for having me as their photographer. I had a great time with their friends and family. I hope to visit this venue again, it was an amazing Atholl Palace Wedding.
