Date: 15th April 2017
Venue: Airth Castle, Falkirk
Another gorgeous sunny day in Scotland and I was excited to work with not one, but two beautiful brides. I met up with them a few months previously and we had some fun shooting their engagement shoot so I knew today would be fantastic. I met both brides as they were getting ready in rooms opposite each other at Airth Castle.
It was a relaxed morning with both brides excited to get the day started.
I love that they both wore wedding dresses, they were both stunning.
Nicola was walked down the aisle by her brother Gary and Katie by her Dad, Denis.
They had a fabulous humanist ceremony performed by Susan Douglas-Scott.
Afterwards we invited all the guests outside for a confetti shot.
I took the brides around the grounds for some photos and we found a secret garden.
The beautiful bouquets were done by Narcissus Flowers.
The sun was shining for us.
We gathered all the guests on the steps of the castle and a piper marched them down to the dinner room in true Scottish fashion.
We blessed the haggis then went into speeches. All very touching, emotional and funny. Its always a favourite part of a wedding for me.
In the evening we headed back up to the castle for some more photos.
I loved their cheesecake!
Both brides threw the bouquets and started their first dance as Mrs & Mrs.
The brides organised a ceilidh band for all their guests.
For the last shot of the night we took a photo outside the castle. Thank you so much to Katie and Nicola for letting me be part of their special day. It was a beautiful Airth Castle Wedding.
